Bjorn is Danish for ‘bear’ and when I created this sawtooth-ish/logcabin/bearclaw inspired block, well, that name just seemed appropriate to me. At least that is how I describe this interesting block. And I decided to make this quilt block TWO different ways – with claws (version one) and without claws (I affectionately call this version Bjorn deClaude (Danish and French) – de-Clawed – Get it? Oh I do crack myself up sometimes! Both versions are in this pattern, so it is kind of a 2-for-1 deal.
